The remarks were made by Pakistani guests attending the 25the anniversary of heavenly departure of Imam Khomeini in the Iranian capital, Tehran.
Rashid Ahmad Joghtai, the head of Pakistan’s council for unity said during an interview that Imam Khomeini frequently highlighted significance of harmony among all Islamic sects and divine religions.
He also suggested that Imam Khomeini should not only be considered as a religious and spiritual leader of the Muslims, but all humanity.
Joghtai went onto say that the great Imam Khomeini followed footsteps of the holy prophet of Islam and his truthful infallible successor and established an endured Islamic-democratic system in Iran. The academic said that Imam refused to bow to pressure by arrogant powers and rejected their dominance.
The intellectual noted that great Imam has had well command over several discipline of knowledge including jurisprudence, philosophy, poetry and several other branches of Islamic and social sciences.
However, Imam’s mystic perspective and approach was so manifest and evident which earned appreciations by followers of all divine religions.
Also Dr. Jamil Qalandar, another Pakistani academic attending the Imam Khomeini’s anniversary in Tehran said that the Islamic scholars who are assigned to guide the human society must highlight facts and realities.
Qalandar also added that they should undertake serious efforts just like the great Imam Khomeini to expand and dispense justice among the societies.
Ruhullah Musawi Khomeini was born on 20 Jamadi al-Akhir 1320/ 24 September 1902- coincidence with the birth anniversary of Hadrat Fatima (PBUH)- in the small town of Khomein, some 160 kilometers to the southwest of the holy city of Qom.
