Rafsanjani recalled through his memoirs that there has been no figure has left as much impact on our contemporary history as of Imam Khomeini.
He further stressed that Imam’s ideals and genuine Islamic thought continue to guide the nations and generations even after his passing away in 1989.
In his memoirs, the former Iranian president describes stages of Imam Life and highlights the significance of wisdom exercised by the founder of the Islamic Republic at the very sensitive stage of history.
Pointing to Imam’s knowledge, he states that the great spiritual and religious leader of the Muslim world was blessed with divine attributes and has had well command over several Islamic disciplines such as philosophy, mysticism and other Islamic sciences.
Imam was unique and distinguished for his ethical and moral attitude and has had maintained very strong bonds with the divine abode, Rafsanjani notes.
The great cleric points to Imam’s academic legacy by saying that he trained several pupils who contributed to the progress and advancement of the Islamic Revolution.
Imam was a very intelligent leader who could confront the external and internal conspiracies and mischievous acts of foes, and managed the country with great wisdom during and after the war successfully, he recalls in his memoirs.
