Supreme Leader's Message Condemning Anti-Islam Film

The following is the full text of the message issued on September 13, 2012 by Ayatollah Khamenei the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution to condemn an American-made film which insults the Holy Prophet of Islam (s.a.). This message reminds us Imam Khomeini's historical verdict on 14 February 1989 which was issued to condemn Salman Rushdie's book ''The Satanic Verses''.

Human Rights According to Imam Khomeini (s)

Imam (s) goes on to say: "A state can claim that it protects human rights when its government is based on divine religious tenets and … As long as that most fundamental detail, which is belief in God, is missing, as long as there is no fear of Him nor of a reckoning on the Day of Judgment, then confusion and disorder will reign among man and mankind will be dragged toward corruption and ruin." (Sahifeh, vol. 4, p. 382)

On the morning of Tir12, 1367 AHS (July 3,1988), Monday, one passenger plane of the Islamic Republic of Iran en route to Dubai (United Arab Emirates) from Bandar `Abbas, Iran, was shot down by two missiles fired from American naval warships stationed in the Persian Gulf, martyring all 290 passengers and the crew on board. On June 28, 1981 (7 Tir, 1360) a powerful bomb went off at the headquarters of the Iran’s Islamic Republic Party (IRP) in Tehran, while a meeting of party leaders was in progress. Seventy-three leading officials of the Islamic Republic lost their lives, including Chief Justice and party secretary Ayatollah Dr. Mohammad Beheshti, four cabinet ministers (Health, Transport, Telecommunications and Energy ministers), twenty-seven members of the Majlis (Iranian Parliament), and several other government officials. The bomber, who was as a young student and a Mujahedin operative named Mohammad Reza Kolahi, had long ago penetrated into the party. After planting the bomb inside the party building, Kolahi fled the scene before the explosion. Mujahedin-e khalq terrorist organization officially assumed responsibility for this terrorist operation.
